The Hoosier Hunting Retriever Club was conceived by hunters, for hunters to give them the opportunity to work with their dogs, meet other people interested in the sport, and to participate in hunting retriever tests. Our primary goal is help you sharpen your dogs natural abilities and become the dog you desire.

I hope all had a great Christmas and New Year. It's time to start thinking about training dogs, not that we ever stopped. Hoosier HRC is gearing up for a great year and we need you to be involved to make it happen. We are starting the year off with our annual banquet. So block off the evening of Saturday, Feb 2nd and join us for a great time.

Annual Banquet:

This year our annual banquet will be on Feb 2nd, 2008 starting at 6:00 PM at Sahm's Restaurant at Allisonville Road and 116th Street in Fishers (same place as last year). Cost will be $16.00 per adult. RSVP to Jeff Lindskoog prior to January 23, 2008. We need to know numbers to tell Sahm's. We will give out title awards, elect the Board of Directors for 2008, talk about improvements to the training days, hunt tests and swap hunting stories.

Title Awards:

For all dogs that have earned titles last year, please send the following information to Jeff Lindskoog prior to Wednesday, Ja n 16th, 2008, so that awards can be given out at the banquet.

Club Logo Wear:

We have camo t-Shirts and hat's for sale with our logo on them. Both are $10.00 each. Also, beige Polo shirts can be ordered if desired. These have a 3 inch club logo on the left side embroidered in black. You can personalize the shirt with your name, dog's name, and/or kennel name on the right side. Shirt and personalization up to 20 characters on the right side are $25.00. Extra characters will add to the cost of the shirt. We can also add the logo to any other item for about $7.00. We do have 6 inch logo decals available in white for vehicles for $5.00. Let Jeff Lindskoog know if you are interested in any of these.

Boat, Sport and Travel Show: Feb 15 - 24th, 2008

We will need help at the Boat, Sport and Travel Show at the Indianapolis State Fair Grounds again this year. This is a great time to promote our club. Jeff Lindskoog will coordinate this year. If you have a day/time you'd like to work, let me know. I will be having people sign up to work the booth and the demo's the first weekend of the show. Also, we will have our puppy raffle at the show. We need a puppy that will be about 8 - 10 weeks old at show time. If you know of any, let John Gibson know.

Hunt Test:

Note our hunt test has been moved to the weekend of April 12 and 13, 2008 and will be held at Crooked Creek Gun Club in the Strawtown area. More information will be available soon, but block the date on your calendars.
